Anguished laments I have in my heart

Everyday wondering how Vera would carry onDawn cracks she’s there awake doing choresWhile Mutethia busy sleeping and snoring hmmm!Warmth of his bed eating his flesh and engulfing him

Vera busy with chores while Mutethia snoring zzzMutethia wakes up, eats and drives his sleek BMW to workWhile she’s there at home sitting and waiting for him in evening

Like a faithful dog she accept everything she’s given because of being a womanShe can’t object because its Mutethia’s belief she’s feebleBut how long shall this continue in our society while we stand

When Mutethia’s want to maintain status quo of their ownAt our very own home we are the very one destroying our Vera’sMutilating them in the name of tradition, their womanhood destroyedWhile Mutethia go scoot free while tradition protecting themA pack of hounds we are surely in this society!

How long shall an African woman sob and we stand on the fenceI cry! Because she’s been left in an island unguarded and susceptibleHave we ever sat back and thought about our women’s emotionsThe pain, the agony and psyclogical torment and aftermathBecause of it mother Africa encounters problems and painIn giving birth to Mutethia junior, senior and the rest

Let’s feel their sorrow and agony filled in their heart but, whyAll this?I stand over a weeping African woman because of my prideTo rub away tears of sorry and replace it with jovialness

To nurture the strength and woman in an African womanTo her, light is glowing and slowly rising to shine its fullestLet’s heal our women and protect them not to darken her lightBecause at the end of the tunnel, there is light for her African women.

A world of connectivity has become a world for social change

"Over and over again, connecting people with one another is what lasts online. Some folks thought it was about technology, but it's not." Seth Godin
A world of connectivity has become a world for soc... http://t.co/8XAzAdt

Universally high levels of youth unemployment and the rising costs associated with higher education often compel young people to limit their leisure pursuits to career exploration and preparation activities that facilitate the transition from school to work.

This trend helps explain the sustained decline in memberships in sports associations and other organized forms of leisure activity.

In national efforts to include youth in decision-making, consideration must be given to the changes occurring in the political attitudes of young people and in the patterns and structures of youth movements.

To many young people, the world of politics seems far removed from their daily realities of school commitments, leisure activities, and employment challenges.

Many youth fail to see a connection between these realities and the impact of public policies on their lives.

Is there a solution? Think about the power of the social media!!!

"I believe that social networking should provide some positive outcome to people. It all starts with the kind of people we add to our networks. What kind of stuff do they post? How relevant are their postings? I have come to find that social networking is all about "garbage in and garbage out".  Brenda Zulu

Social media helps people reconnect the dots in their life. It enables them to stay in touch with what’s happening in the lives of people who matter to them. It allows them to voluntarily express their views on what they like, what they dislike and what they want. It helps them create, control and contribute to a body of knowledge.

With social media, a few close friends are now the core, followed by the family and then some more friends and then relatives.

It is amazing how the world has become a small place in the face of social networking.

Life
From weary to strong
Poor to rich
Unhealthy to healthy
Ugly to beautiful
Gave a hand, came in passion.
My togetherness kept me going.
Till now found that
Was lost but now newly found
and branded.
Unblinded and has a future
Has a vision and dream
What an achievement
